Today's Spotlight is on King's Rock PuzzledNPerplexed. We are waiting on confirming Java's pregnancy but if she is open, Puzzle may be our last doe due in 2017 and our last Spotlight for the year! If that is the case, she is not a bad doe to end with! Puzzle is out of King's Rock Betwix N Between 1*M and CH Risin' Creek Wen Khaos Strikes. She and her sister Pomp&Circumstance easily earned a place in our herd on the day they were born. With our small herd, it is not always beneficial to keep two kids from the same freshening, but we felt that both doe kids would be valuable assets to the herd!
Between her markings and her personality, Puzzle reminds me a lot of her maternal half-sister King's Rock Pipin Hot 2*M. I think there are also a lot of confirmation similarities as well, as Puzzle is built much like Piper! She is already showing great body capacity and angulation to her rear legs. Like all Striker daughters in our herd, she has great width too! Puzzle stood 9th as a Junior Doe at the 2016 ADGA Nationals and also had several first place wins at shows throughout the season. Her sister Pomp&Circumstance was 7th place Junior Doe! And back in 2011, Pipin' Hot was the 1st place Junior Doe. Twix really produces great kids! Puzzle's dam Twix rejoined our herd in 2015 and we are so happy to have her back (and to now add her genetics back into the herd!). Twix was also the 10th placed Aged Doe and part of the 6th place Produce of Dam as well!
Puzzle is bred to King's Rock Up All Knight and is due at the end of April. We are hoping that the combination of these two animals will produce a cross that showcases the power and strength that is behind them. Not to mention the height and width that is there as well! These kids will be spectacular!
